Research

In 2001, my B.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics and Mathematics culminated in a fourth year project in Mathematical Modeling and Differential Equations.  This research project resulted in an academic paper of original work – a rare feat at that level.  For my M.Sc. and Ph.D. research I moved over to Discrete Mathematics and Graph Theory and have published numerous papers on a variety of topics.

Please see a list of my publications, as well as various conference papers and guest lectures.

My research interests vary from Combinatorics to Differential Equations, Mathematical Modeling and Game Theory and I currently have active research projects spanning these fields.  These projects range from extended work on my doctorate research on the domination of generalized Cartesian product graphs, the Guess-Who Problem, to application of evolutionary algorithms on graph theoretic domination problems.

My goal is to establish collaborative research projects with fellow faculty members as well as through graduate student research interests, thereby strengthening the Department as a whole.

    Dear Professor Benecke ,

Would it be possible for you to send me
    electronic copies of your paper:

    S. Benecke and C. M. Mynhardt
Trees with domination subdivision number one,
    AJC, vol.42, p.201 (2008)

I ask because I do research in Graph Theory,

but the AJC cannot be found in Bulgaria.

    With best wishes,

    Dr Vladimir Samodivkin

      Hi,

Thank you for your interest. I’m still in the process of updating this website and will include the publication links as soon as I can get to it.
